Harris Scarfe Acquisition - Bridging the Transition from Magento to SAPCommerce
After Harris Scarfe was acquired by SRG, the executive decision was made to migrate the existing architecture from Magento to SRG's SAP Commerce platform. As the lead designer, my role was to facilitate the design and content conversion from the old site to the new one. I collaborated with multiple designers to create a new style guide based on SRG's family brand design system.
New Site Launched within 8 Sprints
The team shipped all the design deliverables within a short amount of time. It was released with the newly launched Click & Collect service merged with the enterprise process. The team delivered Style guides, component library, content guidelines, prototypes and state matrices. While the redesign has yielded positive results, there are limitations to consider, such as the initial lack of in-depth user research due to time constraints. Future research could explore more advanced user behavior analytics and A/B testing to refine design elements further to customise Harris Scarfe's own experience.
